Hello everyone, I’m Renakh (but you can call me Tristan), I’m 28 and I’m currently in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I’m relatively new to the competitive TCG world, when I was younger I collected Pokémon, Yugioh, Gundam Wing, Dragonball Z, (yes, I was into anime), as well as MTG, WWF Raw Deal, and Legend of the Five Rings but only with childhood friends. My main interest lies with video games, when I was playing World of Warcraft I was part of Premonition and Nether on Sen’jin before deciding to go casual raiding. During BC/WotLK days I managed to get a few realm 1st achievements but then again, at this point we all have. I mostly play Diablo 3 when I’m not playing Hex right now and look forward to the PvE side of things for Hex.
Outside the digital world, I’ve recently finished my four year degree and plan to obtain my teacher license soon. In my spare time I’m currently working on a new outline for a book that I started as my Creative Writing capstone.
I look forward to seeing you guys in Beta!
Tristan

Well, it seems like you've got the right background to really dig Hex when PVE gets into swing. Still, there's lots of fun to be had now and even more when tournaments are working.
My suggestion is to check out infam0usne0's draft tutorial series (available on the main hextcgpro.com page) then give drafts a shot when they're back up and running--if you haven't already. They're relatively inexpensive ($7 including product, which is half the ticket price for a draft in MTGO), they let you cherry-pick new cards for your collection, and if you do well enough then you can win more packs to go towards your next draft.
Since PVP cards will be usable in PVE, it doesn't hurt to be familiar with the current set--nor does it hurt to have a head start on building your collection!

Yeah, I look forward to the PvE content but I've really had a lot of fun with the Challenge Series and I look forward to the rest of Season One!!! I just added infam0usne0 to my twitch but I'll give his draft video a watch. I didn't do as much drafting as I should have in alpha so I'll have to practice in beta. Sadly I made the horrible mistake of opening all my King packs trying to build a deck to use in the challenge series.
